Greetings to you all!
We are in a time of transition and change. Our calendars reveal that Summer has moved into Autumn and the whole of creation is heralding this change as trees become adorned with vibrant coloured leaves and gardens begin to slow down their production of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Our personal lives have begun to transition into a routine that often gets altered during the summer months and we look forward to reconnecting with others through our community groups, activities and social circles.
Our churches are also in a time of transition and change. As we get back into the cycles, rhythms and joys of gathering for worship we hope that you will be looking forward to coming together to renew our relationship as the Be United Communities of Faith on the first Sunday of each month.
Our worship on October 2nd is World Wide Communion Sunday – a perfect time for us to be together. During our time of communion we will have individually prepared cups (with a rice cracker and a couple of grapes) at the front for those attending to come forward during the time of Communion to receive the elements. Individual are also invited to bring their own elements (bread/cracker/juice/water etc) if you do not yet feel ready to come forward during the service. We are slowly transitioning into a routine of sharing and feasting which were previously witnessed before the pandemic began. Each individual is encouraged to participate in our worship and communion as they feel comfortable.
I look forward to our continued times of worship together as the Be United Communities of Faith.
Blessings of Hope and Courage in all of our Seasons of Transition and Change.
